Who we are

The Englewood Community Care Clinic is a 501(c)3 nonprofit medical clinic providing no-cost medical services to the under-served residents of Englewood and surrounding communities. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis so appointments are not necessary.

The mission of the Englewood Community Care Clinic is to provide no-cost episodic medical services to the uninsured and working poor in the Englewood area. We want to improve the quality of life for low-income residents in the Englewood area by providing access to quality health care in a caring environment.

As we read daily of the growing healthcare crisis, the Englewood Community Care Clinic wants to close the gap between those who enjoy quality medical care and those who do not. Currently, we estimate that almost one in four in the greater Englewood area lacks health insurance. The visionary leaders of the Englewood Community Care Clinic sought to fill a void in our local healthcare system and developed a solution to remove the burden from the current healthcare community, including hospitals, ER’s and urgent clinics.

Our Staff

The Englewood Community Care Clinic is able to operate because of our numerous volunteers serving in both clinical and non-clinical roles. For continuity, Beth Harrison is our part-time Executive Director and Deborah Jeffes, RN is our Laboratory Director.

Beth Harrison has lived in Englewood for 35 years. Prior to joining the Englewood Community Care Clinic, she enjoyed a 10 year career with Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice, Florida’s largest community foundation, most recently in development as Vice President for Donor Services. Prior to that, Beth held leadership and management positions with several banks in the Englewood and Venice area. She also works full-time as Business Administrator for Englewood Methodist Church. Beth has a long history of volunteer service in our community. She and her husband, Jim, are the proud parents of two grown children.

Beth can be contacted at 941-681-2081 or by e-mail at englewoodcareclinic@verizon.net.
